Use of the site
The calculators and reference material here are provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may use the results in your own work without attribution. You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, republish the content wholesale, or present the tools as your own.
Engineering disclaimer
These tools are engineering aids, not a substitute for professional judgement, a datasheet, or an applicable standard. The formulas used are standard and are stated on each page, but every real design involves tolerances, temperature effects, derating, ageing and safety margins that a general-purpose calculator cannot know about.
You are responsible for verifying any result before it goes into a design, particularly where failure could cause injury, fire, or damage to property or equipment. Anything connected to mains power, anything carrying significant current, anything in a safety-related function, and anything that must comply with a regulatory standard deserves independent verification against primary sources.
No warranty
